Father's Day... Funny how I've found myself identifying more with Earth holidays than Elicoorian ones.

I resented my father sometimes - but then, what child doesn't? Just for trivial things, mostly not allowing me to do whatever I pleased.

I'm certain I wouldn't be alive if it wasn't for him. I don't mean in the normal way - if he hadn't taught me that sometimes I really do have to open up, I'd be a charred corpse, burned to a crisp by a dragon who became my best friend. It's only because of him that I was able to step into his shoes when he fell in battle.
