And the nightmare I had getting him onto the Diplo was nobody's business. Eventually he had to get in through the cargo bay; it's lucky the transporters could target there.

How nice. I... I have a friend, too. His name is Kero-chan, and we've been together since I was twelve. He's like a large lion with wings, and he shoots fire from his mouth. But most of the time he stays in his false form, which is a small cat-like stuffed animal with little wings and a cute tail.

It's amazing, sometimes, the variety of life other worlds can have... Dragons, winged lions... And yet humans seem to be much the same everywhere.

Perhaps the Entropi are just humans, as far beyond this place's technology as this place is beyond Elicoor. Perhaps they're just like us... There might be two Entropi sitting up there in their ships, having just this conversation.

Did I just say that? This is why I need Ather around; otherwise I tend to get far too philosophical for my own good.

It must be really weird for you to not have your dragon here... right? I saw that people from the Dragon Brigade spend a lot of time with their dragons...

The crew certainly weren't pleased when they actually had to find somewhere to land it. I didn't realize ships needed that much space to land...

Yes, there's a sort of mental bond between a dragon and their rider... not exactly telepathic, but... I don't know how it works, really.

Let's just say it's lucky the Aquaelie had a transporter in the cargo bay for loading large objects. Life is certainly never dull with a dragon around. Or Mar- um, Fayt. Poor kid seems to be one of those people that attracts trouble.

You have a dragon? How does everyone but me luck out that way? My roommate has two dragons, but they're just small ones.
